Hello again

Sorry that I wasn't posting for the longest time. School was overwhelming and I didn't know what to review. Anyways, I'm back now!!! :-)

Kekkai Sensen First Impressions

I'm not too entirely sure about the plot of Kekkai Sensen based off of the first episode. It was a bit confusing to me...
But other than that I found this show very cool
I really enjoyed the animation (especially the animation during the fight scenes) and I also liked the characters. They all seemed very unique to me.
I also liked how the group was named Libra because that's my zodiac :)
One scene I really liked was when Leonardo opened his eyes and everything looked like the inside of a computer.
I hope the story elaborates on exactly what Leonardo's power is and I also hope they elaborate on his backstory.

Other than that I enjoy the show and I will continue to watch it!

Onepunch Man Review

I first saw a ton of posts about this manga on tumblr and it looked good so I checked it out.
Onepunch Man is about Saitama who is insanely strong and can defeat villains in one punch. Saitama does not act serious while fighting, which makes it very funny. One of my favorite scenes with him is when he fights that mosquito queen (it's also when Genos is first introduced).
Genos is a cyborg who wishes to get revenge on a cyborg who destroyed his village. After witnessing the amazing Saitama, Genos begs Saitama to make him his disciple. Genos is honestly one of my favorite characters...mainly because of how good looking he is. Saitama comes second.

Each chapter is very short and has I think about 9-15 pages. It's a very fast read, I caught up in about 2 days. It is also very addicting, so read when you have a ton of time on your hands.
Overall this manga is amazing and definitely ranks as one of my favorites. I would rate it a 10/10.

Sakamichi no Apollon Review

Sakamichi no Apollon (or Kids on the Slope) is about a boy named Kaoru and how he moved alone to a new city because of his fathers job. Kaoru is not really the social type and normally keeps to himself. He then meets Sentaro, who is the complete opposite of Kaoru. They become friends and Kaoru learns about the fun of playing jazz. He decides to play jazz music after hearing Sentaro play the drums. He discovers how much fun it is to play with Sentaro.
There's also Ritsuko, who is the daughter of the man who runs a record store. She and Sentaro have been friends for a very long time.
This anime is a romance, music, drama, as well as a slice of life. This show also really pulls at the heart strings.
It had me really attached to the characters. It also had me cry during horrible situations and during the makeup of the horrible situation.
After finishing this show I had the sudden urge to listen to a ton of jazz music.
Overall this anime is really good. I would highly recommend watching this.
I would rate this a 10/10.

As of today Sakamichi no Apollon has one season with 12 episodes.

I apologize..

I apologize for any weird things on this blog since I am still trying to figure everything out.

Owari no Seraph Opening Impression

So the opening is by far one of the best ones I've ever seen. The song was well chosen and it was not too boring. It was very action packed and not cheesy...

There were a few things that I interpreted from the opening...

First of all the first few seconds show an older Mika, which means that he did not die (which I assumed from the first episode). It also shows a few shots of Lord Ferid (I think that's his name?) so I'm assuming that Yu did not kill him. I have a reasoning for why he isn't dead but I'll put that later.

It was also shown that someone opened their mouth and there were fangs. It was not shown who it was but you could see blonde bangs. So we can assume that Mika has become a vampire. We can also assume this due to his clothing change and how it's nicer (I mean there's a gold chain and a golden emblem??).

I don't think Mika became a vampire out of his free will, more like he was forced to become one...I'm honestly really excited because I want to see a battle between Mika and Yu.

-REASON WHY LORD FERID ISNT DEAD-
So after watching episode 2 I have made a reason (which may not be right) to why Lord Ferid isn't dead.

So at the end of the 2nd episode Yu stabs the vampire with his sword. But he is unable to kill it. Guren then comes in and kills her. He tells Yu that he couldn't kill her because there was no spell on his sword.

In the first episode Lord Ferid was shot in the head. However, the opening suggests that he's not dead. I'm guessing that he's not dead because Yu shot him with a gun that had no anti-vampire spell.

Mekakucity Actors Review

I remember before I watched this I had seen a few of the music videos. However I was unable to see the plot. I then began to read the manga but had no time to finish it.
So when I found out there was going to be an anime, I was excited. I really wanted to know and understand the plot.

Mekakucity Actors is about a group called Mekakushi Dan and how they all have strange powers. There's more to it but I'm afraid I'm unable to remember.

I was quite pleased with this show. It explained the plot to me perfectly and the animation was wonderful. It also seemed to me that the animation was done by the same people who did Bakemonogatari??

The characters as well as their stories were well played out. I especially enjoyed the one about Ene.
One thing I would have to question is why Ene was out of the computer in episode 12.
I would rate this a 9/10

To anyone who wishes to learn their stories, I would suggest to watch the anime first. Then read the manga and watch the music videos.
Another title for this is Kagerou Daze or Kagerou Days.

As of today, Mekakucity Actoes has one season with 12 episodes, music videos, and a manga.

Denki-gai no Honya-san Review

I first started watching this because it was a comedy romance, and judging from the cover art...I knew it wasn't going to be an ecchi nor a harem.

Denki-gai no Honya-san is a daily life, comedy, and romance anime that follows a group of co-workers in a manga bookshop.

The first episode was a bit interesting but not interesting enough to convince me to continue watching. However I decided to watch one more episode to finalize my decision.

The second episode really disgusted me. I didn't mind the swimsuits they were wearing but I didn't like a few of the actions that happened. Many of them had inappropriate feel to them, like when one of the girls was circled by a group of faceless men and sprayed water on her face and chest. This episode made me stop watching it.

A few weeks later, around when 11/12 episodes of it came out, I for some reason decided to continue watching it. I feel that the shock from the second episode had subsided and I was ready to give this show a second chance.

As I continued watching, I grew to really like it. There were barely any innapropriate scenes after episode 2 and I also liked all the relationships. There were about 3+ romantic relationships.

Overall I would have to say that I enjoyed this show. I would rate it an 8/10.

Denki-gai no Honya-san has only one season with 12 episodes as of today.

Update

I'm going to try to see if I can make sections so I can organize my posts..
But not right now..I'll do it tomorrow

Owari no Seraph First Impression

I first started watching this series because of the gifs I saw on tumblr. It looked interesting so I decided to look into it.
When I first read a summary of the show,I was a bit put off. The summary said there was a virus that killed everyone 13+ and vampires took over. However, the show is really about vampires taking over by releasing a virus that kills 13+ years old. The summary failed to make the connection.
I started watching it and I became intrigued, but not intrigued enough to stick with it.
The only problem I had with it were the side characters. I don't hate them. I just knew that they would be something that would be used to hurt the protagonist. I have seen many shows that do that and I'm honestly tired of it.
I liked Yu's stereotypical action anime protagonist personality and I also liked his relationship with his brother, Mika.
I also became a bit curious of the relationship between Mika and that vampire lord (whose name I cannot remember). It seemed to me that there was more going on between them than blood sucking.

-SPOILERS OF THE END OF EP 1-

Towards the end I was not surprised that the younger children died. But I was really surprised that the girl (Akane?) died. It seemed to me that she would survive, become the love interest and create a love triangle between her, Yu, and Mika.
I was also surprised by Mika's death because he seemed like the character who would stick by the protagonist forever.
-END OF SPOILER-

In the end this show really surprised me. It was actually very good!
I'm definitely going to continue watching this!!

This show is currently airing and as of today has 2/12 episodes out and a second season confirmed.

Senyuu Review

Senyuu is a comedic hero anime that I love to death.  It had me laughing every episode!
The plot of Senyuu is that the demon king has opened a portal to the Overworld and now all these demons are coming out and attacking.  To subside these monsters, the king of the Overworld finds the descendants of the legendary hero (whose name I cannot remember).  This legendary hero was famous for putting the previous demon king to eternal rest.  However, there seemed to be about 100 descendants of the hero.  The king sends out all the descendants, saying that whoever slays the demon king will have fame and glory.
This show follows one of the descendants, Alba, and his knight, Ross.
Ross (left) and Alba (right)
Alba is serious about his job whereas Ross doesn't care.  He makes many remarks towards Alba's actions (like how he called him a pervert when Alba slayed a slime) and knows how to make Alba angry.  Ross is honestly my favorite character in this show.
The episodes are only about 5 min. long.  The show is very fast paced but it is easy to understand.  It's filled with a ton of slapstick comedy.  I'm not too much of a fan of slapstick but the comedy in Senyuu was really well done.
There are currently 2 seasons and a few OVAs.  I would rate this a 10/10

Yuyushiki Review

So a few days ago I began to watch Yuyushiki and now I'm somewhat halfway done with it.  I actually first started watching it when it aired in 2013, but I soon learned that it was a daily life anime.
Don't get me wrong I do like daily life anime but at that time I watched a horrible daily life anime and I did not feel like watching another one.  So I instantly dropped it.
However I wished my past self stayed with it, for it is actually quite funny...

The show follows the high school lives of three girls named Yuzuko, Yukari, and Yui.  The show focuses on their activities in their club (The Data Processing Club) and their weird conversations.  This show is very cute...the style is cute...the characters are cute....all of it is CUTE!
I also found it somewhat informative....During their club activities they set a theme for the day and research that theme, they then inform the audience (without breaking the 4th wall) of their findings.

I would not recommend this to someone who wishes to start watching anime but I would recommend this to someone who just wants to take a break from all the intense shows that are airing.
I'm only on episode 8/12 but I would rate this show an 8/10
